Hello!
I’m Ben, an Industrial Designer from Seattle, WA with 10+ years of experience. I’m passionate about designing at the intersection of the physical and digital, and crafting a vision for the future of product experiences. I believe that products are much more than the sum of their physical parts, but the combination of the experiences and connections they can create.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to design for companies of various sizes, and in a variety of industries with a focus on AR/VR, biotech, medical, and consumer electronics. I love working on a team and learning from my peers. I firmly believe in strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and work hard to foster strong relationships between engineering disciplines and design. Together we can innovate and deliver both solutions that solve complex challenges, and products that delight users.
Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to see a number of projects from their initial user research phase all the way through design, engineering, production, and post-production efforts. I’m passionate about all aspects of the design process, but particularly enjoy prototyping, and the iterative process of refinement. I have a bias for action, and find as much joy in sketching out an idea as I do building a prototype.
I live just outside the Seattle area with my wife. Depending on the season, you can find us searching for fresh snow in the mountains, in the surf lineup looking for the perfect wave, or on an obscure mountain bike trail chasing a thrill.
